The project of modernization of food safety management system was successfully implemented at company “Aqua Geo


Company “Aqua Geo” with assistance of International Financial Corporation (IFC) has successfully implemented the pilot program of modernization of food safety management system (FSSC 22000) in Georgia. During the project implementation period the company has successfully accomplished implementation of quality management standards ISO 9001:2008 and food safety management standards ISO 22000:2005 and has obtained proper certification. 


In frames of the project company has improved food safety management policy and furthermore increased qualification of personnel. Implementation of new procedures has improved production control and quality management unified system, as one of the most major goals of the company. Improvement of food safety management system will contribute to exercise the production modern practices and its continuous development.   


As the result of improvement of food safety management practice the production control was improved and risks related to the production process were minimized. This has directly positively reflected on the high quality of final products and satisfies all international food safety management standards. In compliance with the aforementioned standards, company systematically works in order to reach satisfaction of customers’ demands, provide their safety and guaranteed high quality product.    

 

For the purpose of improvement of plant production/hygiene practice and food safety management system, company has developed action plan providing improvement of company food safety management practice.


Company management has developed the list of activities in order to raise the level of food safety. By assistance of International Financial Corporation (IFC) company has developed and conducted personnel advanced training and consultations in compliance with the important principles of HACCP program and requirements of ISO 22000:2005 standards. 


All these activities intensified the involvement of company management in process of food safety management system implementation and its further development.


In order to improve food safety management system, the company has elaborated efficient annual internal audit and inspection program. In the nearest future we plan to perform certification of the implemented food safety management system in compliance with certificate FSSC 22000.
